After a few days away in the West Country, I've returned with a sketchbook full of drawings, notes and memories gathered along the way.
In this video I share some of the sketchbook pages I created while walking along cliffs, visiting beaches and exploring new places.
I also talk about something I still find challenging: drawing in public. As a fairly private person, sitting down to sketch where other people can see me doesn't come naturally. But over the years I've discovered that even the simplest sketches can capture a sense of place and a memory far more powerfully than many of the photographs I bring home.
