Printmaking often doesn't go to plan. In this week’s video I revisit my tetrapak drypoint plate and adapt it into a cut-out version of the seal to try and resolve some of the elements that weren’t quite working for me in the first prints.
Another quiet morning printing in the kitchen — this time onto collaged papers — experimenting, adjusting and dealing with the occasional print failure when the paper sticks to the plate and tears… all while boiling my breakfast egg in the background! Sharing the process as it unfolds rather than aiming for perfection.
There’s also a little footage of the village swans and their newly hatched cygnets. So cute! Enjoy!
